Steel Hot Rolled Cold Rolled Mild H/I Section Beam For ConstructionLow alloy steel H beam is a section of optimized area, high strength to weight ratio of economic section profile is more reasonable, so named because of its cross section and English letter "H" is the same. Due to various parts of low alloy H steel beam are arranged at right angles, so the low alloy H steel beam in each direction has bending ability, simple construction, has the advantages of saving cost and light weight structure, has been widely used.
Structural steel H/I beams are load-bearing components manufactured through either hot rolling (heated above recrystallization temperature) or cold rolling (processed at room temperature). The mild steel composition (typically 0.05%-0.25% carbon content) ensures optimal weldability and formability while maintaining structural integrity.
Hot Rolled Beams
Exhibit superior yield strength (235-355MPa) with slight dimensional variations, ideal for heavy construction where precision is secondary to load capacity.
Cold Rolled Beams
Provide enhanced surface finish (Ra≤3.2μm) and tighter tolerances (±0.5mm), suitable for architectural applications requiring precise fitment.
